Enlightenment and Transformation (NaPoWriMo Day 15)

A discussion with friends on Facebook led me to look at the question of truth in the context of several conversations. For those not on the conversation, I shall not explain further than William and Darren are names applied to two teachers, I might as well have used Richard and John. But I didn’t.

Enlightenment and Transformation (NaPoWriMo Day 15) on YouTube

Enlightenment and Transformation
Not transformation nor enlightenment
Have being other than in experience.
Wise words of William we should all despise,
Understand that Darren’s words, too, are lies.
Unless, in yourself, you actualise
Them you have not understood what they meant.
Their truth is not accessed by any sense,
Nor by comprehension or logic.
If there’s one thing to learn it should be this,
Understanding is nothing, But practice
Is the only way that one can master
Truth. Wisdom cannot be won any faster,
It is not some state of passive being,
But an ever-changing way of seeing
The World in each moment as ever new
Thus Truth is ever changing, ever true.
Always and never is it found in books
Nor in courses; yet wherever you look:
In nature, in a book or in a course,
Seek your truth daily, not their truth, only yours.
